University Housing is committed to provide a safe, comfortable, convenient, and reasonably-priced living and learning environment that promotes student success. University Housing is comprised of four areas, each under the leadership of a director: Administrative Services, Business Services & Information Technology, Residence Education, and Residential Facilities. The Service Assistant - Housing would work in the area of Residential Facilities. More than 6,000 students live in housing facilities managed by University Housing.

Summary of Job Duties
The Service Assistant - Housing is responsible for general cleaning of areas in and around residential halls and/or Housing-managed Greek facilities, including public areas, bathrooms, class rooms, conference rooms, and other areas as required. These areas shall be maintained at an APPA (Association of Physical Plant Administrators) Level 2 standard. Other duties as assigned.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function of this job, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Minimum Qualifications
  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
