Summary of Job Duties
The desired candidate is expected to conduct research that contributes the body of literature related to the supply chain implications of regulation and economic policy and assist in providing leadership to the Supply Chain Management Research Center's emerging initiative on the supply chain implications of regulation and economic policy.
The desired candidate may come from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds, including supply chain management, logistics, operations management, behavioral economics, transportation economics, management or public policy, where economic policy and regulatory decisions have implications or can be studied. In addition to publishing in top-tier business journals, the candidate will also be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor Ph.D. students and fulfill University, College and Departmental service requirements consistent with the rank. The candidate will also be responsible for helping to promote the research being conducted through the Center.

Minimum Qualifications: Please ensure that all relevant application materials include details addressing the minimum qualifications. Applicants not meeting the minimum qualifications will be disqualified from consideration.
  • Ph.D. in supply chain management, logistics, operations management, behavioral economics, transportation economics, management or public policy, or a related field that must be conferred by the start of employment
  • At least four years of experience as a tenure-track faculty
  • Have a research program that demonstrates thought leadership in the discipline, as evidenced by publications in top-tier business journals


Preferred Qualifications
  • Established research record related to the supply chain implications of regulation and economic policy
  • Substantial experience developing or the potential to develop relationships with external constituents
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor doctoral students
  • Experience in a research-oriented Center
