Summary of Job Duties
Perform pruning of all research crops, prepare plots, thin fruit, plant, harvest fruit, mow, plow, fertilize, weed and train young plants. Install and maintain trellis in blackberry and grape trials. Assists in measuring and laying out the research trials and putting out ID stakes for each plot. Take soil samples of all the stations different research areas and crops. Assist in supervising hourly workers. General farm work. Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma, plus two years of experience in farming operations.

Physical Conditions
The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside., The worker is subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.
