The Center for Educational Access ( CEA ) serves as the central campus resource for helping students with disabilities obtain the accommodations they need for equal access to classroom activity. The CEA provides direct support for students with disabilities and training and educational resources to the University community as a whole.

Summary of Job Duties
The department is currently looking to fill positions in two areas of operation: front desk and test center. Program assistants may be asked to work in one or more of these areas at any given time, and ALL include driving golf carts.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Front Desk: Greeting students and visitors, answering phones, scheduling appointments, helping students with different sections of our database.
Test Center: Proctoring tests, answering phones, manning the front counter of the test center, on campus courier.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others and working one-on-one with students.

  • Excellent written and verbal comprehension and communication skills with the English language, as evidenced in application materials
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Proven attention to detail as evidenced in application materials

  • Detail oriented, organized, reliable, and flexible with broad technical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player on time-critical projects
  • Ability to multi-task in a high traffic area with constant interruptions

Work Schedule
12-20 hours per week between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 pm (test center between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.), preferably in 3+ hour blocks
