Summary of Job Duties
The successful candidate will conduct applied economic research of water, which includes modeling, data analysis, and manuscript preparation. The candidate will also gain valuable experience by assisting in presentation preparation, publishing articles, and writing grant proposals.
Minimum Qualifications: Please ensure that all relevant application materials include details addressing the minimum qualifications. Applicants not meeting the minimum qualifications will be disqualified from consideration.
Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in economics, resource or environmental economics, natural resource management or other applicable field by date of hire; advanced training in quantitative methods, microeconomics, and applied econometrics; and strong written and oral communication skills. Experience working with optimization software, in particular GAMs, is a requirement.

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with strong modeling skills. Familiarity with panel and cross-sectional survey data and proficiency in statistical software (e.g., STATA , or SAS ) is desirable. Other preferred qualifications include experience in conducting interdisciplinary research.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
Willingness to travel several times to Riverside, CA and Washington, DC.
