Summary of Job Duties
The Sam M. Walton College of Business invites applications for a non-tenure track Clinical Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to teach in the Department of Supply Chain Management beginning with the Spring 2018 semester. This clinical faculty position will have a primary focus on teaching procurement in graduate and undergraduate programs and industry outreach. The regular teaching load for this Clinical Assistant Professor position would be four courses per semester, but may be reduced to advance initiatives such as the Executive MBA supply chain track, executive education opportunities, online course development, involvement in the Supply Chain Management Research Center, etc. As a nine-month position, other teaching, research, and industry related activities in the summer will result in additional compensation.

Minimum Qualifications: Please ensure that all relevant application materials include details addressing the minimum qualifications. Applicants not meeting the minimum qualifications will be disqualified from consideration.
  • Must be classified as Scholarly Academic or Practice Academic by AACSB standards
  • Must have a doctorate (not ABD ) in business or economics from a nationally or internationally accredited university conferred by the start of employment
  • Executive-level work experience in procurement
  • A strong record of publications in premier level peer-reviewed supply chain management journals and supply chain textbooks
  • Demonstrated leadership in an international supply chain management professional association
  • Frequent contributor to executive education programs and service on journal editorial boards


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience and/or an interest in: both face-to-face and online course delivery and industry outreach activities
  • Practice Academics as defined by AACSB standards (Ph.D., committed to the teaching mission, some interest in research)
