Summary of Job Duties
The Department of Finance at the Sam M. Walton College of Business invites applications for one tenure-track assistant, associate, or full professor position starting in the Fall of 2019. The position requires a Ph.D. in finance, economics, econometrics, or closely related fields from a nationally or internationally accredited university. Candidates are required to have at least one year of PhD-level academic or professional experience and are expected to publish research in top-tier finance journals, teach finance courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and contribute their service to the university. Candidates for associate and full professor levels are expected to have a distinguished research publication, teaching, and service record. Candidates with research and teaching interests in all areas of finance will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates who possess strong research records or the potential to publish in top-tier journals, have the ability to provide an excellent learning environment in the classroom, and value collegiality.
This faculty position is expected to conduct research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and fulfill other related service activities on behalf of the department, college, and/or university.
