Summary of Job Duties
The Department of Accounting in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas seeks applications from interested candidates for one tenure-track Assistant Professor position, pending Provost approval. The expected start date for the positions is August 2018.
The Assistant Professor of Accounting is expected to conduct research, publish in peer reviewed journals, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and fulfill other related service activities on behalf of the department, college, and/or university.
Minimum Qualifications: Please ensure that all relevant application materials include details addressing the minimum qualifications. Applicants not meeting the minimum qualifications will be disqualified from consideration.
- Candidates must have a doctorate (or expect to complete their Ph.D. by August 15, 2018) in accounting from a nationally or internationally accredited university that must be conferred by the start of employment
Preferred Qualifications
- Preference will be given to candidates who possess strong research records or the potential to publish in top-tier journals, have the ability to provide an excellent learning environment in the classroom, and value collegiality
