Summary of Job Duties
The Assistant Case Manager is a Dean of Students and Veterans Resource and Information Center ( VRIC ) staff member, reporting dually to the Associate Dean of Students for Student Life and Director of the Veterans Resource and Information Center. The Assistant Case Manager assists in efforts to put students first and is a central part of the University's effort to create an engaging campus environment by providing advocacy and support services that increase student engagement, success, retention/persistence, and graduation. The Assistant Case Manager works in consultation and collaborates with internal and external partners in an effort to provide students who may be experiencing difficulty and the inability to access services with needed resources, with special attention to the military-affiliated student community. The Assistant Case Manager assists in daily functions regarding student case management and programmatic outreach in the Veterans Resource and Information Center. The Assistant Case Manager has a focus on retention and academic success for VRIC students, serves on an intervention team and various committees, and has some after hours responsibilities.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

  • Master's degree in student development, higher education, counseling, or a related field
  • Experience responding to and supporting student mental health needs
