Summary of Job Duties
The ArkSTART Coordinator will be responsible for responding to referrals for consultation/treatment of individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and behavioral health needs in their designated area. Primary responsibilities will include providing on-site technical assistance to families, agencies, organizations; providing training on a variety of topics related to crisis prevention/intervention; completing and maintaining national START training; maintaining an active caseload of 10-15 (per 20 hours worked), and collecting all data required to evaluate efficacy of services delivered.

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field
  • A minimum of one year of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral health conditions

Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of experience working with individuals who have a dual diagnosis (developmental disability and behavioral health condition)
  • Experience in crisis intervention
  • Experience with Positive Behavior Supports

  • Ability to provide systematic consultation in accordance with the START model
  • Ability to interact with individuals in a variety of settings while providing consultation
  • Ability to collect and enter data timely
