We are especially interested in candidates who specialize in one of the following areas: (1) atomic clock development, including both microwave and optical clocks and related technologies such as ultra-high vacuum systems; (2) metrology for precise timing applications, including measurement systems, modeling of noise processes, and associated statistical methods; and (3) realization and optimization of time scales based on aggregating ensembles of atomic clocks. Highly-qualified candidates with specialization in closely-related fields will also be considered. This position is intended to start a new program in precision timing. The appointment will begin August 16, 2017.
