Instructor

Faculty will be expected to teach a full load, year-round, including during May and throughout the summer. Primary teaching assignments will be in the undergraduate program, including clinical instruction, primarily in fundamental courses in Level I or Level II of the BSN program. Faculty will be expected to be on site in the college and/or in clinical teaching sites four days per week, when classes are in session. Clinical instruction may occur during daytime or evening hours and may occur in Tuscaloosa and/or Birmingham.

A minimum of three years of clinical experience (preferably in Medical-Surgical or Critical Care) and one year teaching experience, with evidence of teaching effectiveness are required. Leadership experience in practice and/or education preferred. Doctoral degree and certification preferred and master's degree required. This position is a renewable, non-tenure earning position.
