The Department of Art and Art History at The University of Alabama seeks to appoint one full-time instructor in the area of art history. This is a non-tenure track, one-year position.

The Department of Art and Art History at The University of Alabama seeks to appoint one full-time instructor in the area of art history. This is a non-tenure track, one-year position. In addition to teaching art history survey and Intro to Visual Arts classes, as well other courses if required, additional responsibilities include service to the profession, as well as to the department, college, and university.
Qualifications: MA in art history. PhD in art history (or ABD ) is preferred; a record of successful teaching and its assessment; commitment to integrating new technologies in teaching; and encouraging interactive classroom learning. Experience teaching relevant courses at the college level is required.
