The University of Alabama Honors College invites applications for a full-time instructor position to begin in August 2018. This is a 9-month, non-tenure earning, three-year renewable position, depending on need, funding, and annual performance review. Candidates will be expected to teach seminar classes every semester for the University Honors Program plus other non-instructional responsibilities benefitting the students and college as determined by the Dean of the Honors College.
Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. and teaching experience in a post-secondary educational setting (at least 2 years at the college/university level). Preference will be given to applicants with experience working with or teaching gifted/honors students. Applicants must demonstrate proven expertise in their academic field and an eagerness to engage with our diverse student body.
