PRIMARY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Provide leadership for research within the college by promoting, coordinating, and supporting research and sponsored programs within the college. Duties include:
- Develop strategic plans for maintaining and expanding CCN research and scholarly activities
- Create a supportive environment and provide leadership to achieve strategic plan goals, especially those related to research, scholarship, and funding
- Provide consultation and mentorship to faculty and student researchers
- Expand and provide support for student participation in research
- Participate in teaching at least one course per year
- Facilitate mentoring for faculty pursuing research
- Support research collaboration within the college, the university, and with external stakeholders
- Obtain external funding in the role of PI or co-PI
- Serve as a liaison between CCN and university administration to promote scholarly activities
- Contribute to the development, refinement, and leadership of doctoral programs for nurses

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Tenure-eligible faculty member with terminal research degree in nursing or a related field
• Distinguished record of research with extramural funding, preferably current or within the past two years
• Experience providing research critique and mentorship to students and faculty
• Experience as PI on multiple grants
• Knowledge of a variety of funding sources (government, corporate and private foundations).
• Administrative or leadership experience
