The Position:

The Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Geography at Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) invites applications for an adjunct faculty position. Our Department offers undergraduate programs of study with concentrations in Anthropology, General Sociology, or Marriage and Family. Additional offerings can be found in Pre-Social Work or in our Certificate in Geographic Information Systems.

AUM seeks an Adjunct Instructor capable of teaching introductory courses in sociology. Experience teaching online as well as traditional classroom courses is required. A Master's or Doctorate degree in Sociology is required.

All instructors are expected to be excellent teachers, responsive to changing professional needs; committed to innovative delivery of instruction resulting in improved student learning; and committed to effective use of technology.

In order to teach online, the Adjunct Instructor will be required to complete AUM's Blackboard training and be certified to teach online.
