Vice President for Business Affairs and Treasurer
The University of Montevallo, Alabama’s only public liberal arts university, is seeking a dynamic, proven leader to serve as its Vice President for Business Affairs and Treasurer.
Reporting to the President, the Vice President for Business Affairs and Treasurer (VPBA/Treasurer) will be a key member of the President’s executive cabinet and will serve as the institution’s senior financial officer. The VPBA/Treasurer will be a senior advisor to the President, keeping the president apprised on matters related to the business and fiscal affairs of the University. The VPBA will be responsible for contract negotiation and management of outsourced services as well as the overall management of the University’s Business Affairs and Facilities Divisions, providing leadership to the staff in the areas of budget, accounting, purchasing, human resources, and risk management.
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree, and five to seven years of progressive experience in financial management and accountancy and demonstrated steadfast ethical standards. Higher education experience and experience as a Chief Financial Officer is strongly preferred.
