Tech I/II, HVAC (2nd Shift)

THE CLOSE DATE FOR THIS POSITION HAS BEEN MODIFIED

**Preventative Maintenance is seeking to fill this position for 2nd shift (3:30pm - 12:00am). A 10% shift differential will be paid for all hours of a regularly assigned evening or night shift provided the employee actually works four hours or more between the hours of 3:00 p.m and 7:00 a.m.**

Essential functions include, but are not limited to: installs, maintains, and repairs equipment related to HVAC systems; completes preventative maintenance on air conditioning units, fan coil units, and other motors and equipment; diagnoses problems, repairs and replaces equipment, unit, and parts; replaces and installs equipment such as heating and air conditioning units, appliances, compressors, pneumatic systems, pumps, and motors; repairs and replaces components of units such as thermostats, diaphragm in reheat valve, pneumatic actuator, pneumatic lines and filters, controls, driers, fan motor, and leaking coils; monitors and cleans boiler system to maintain proper water temperature; cleans equipment, tools, and shop area including disposing of hazardous materials; may maintain a computer database for work activities, supplies, and accountability of equipment; and adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet special needs

Minimum Qualifications
Entry into the applicant pool requires a high school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Universal Refrigerant Technician; a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one prior to selection; and twenty-four hour on call status availability. Employer will consider advanced degrees in lieu of experience. The salary range for Level I is $28,000 - $46,700.

Level II requires a high school diploma or equivalent; four (4) years of experience in HVAC practices; certification as a Universal Refrigerant Technician; a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one prior to selection; and twenty-four hour on call status availability. Employer will consider advanced degrees in lieu of experience. The salary range for Level II is $31,300 - $52,100.
