**Preventative Maintenance is seeking to fill two 2nd shift (3:30pm - 12:00am) positions. A 10% shift differential will be paid for all hours of a regularly assigned evening or night shift provided the employee actually works four hours or more between the hours of 3:00 p.m and 7:00 a.m.**
Installs, maintains, and repairs University electrical systems, including both high and low voltage systems. Essential functions include but not limited to: power distribution, conduit, lighting, motor controls, and communication lines for new construction and renovation, and electrical devices; sets up temporary power sources for special events; and cleans University property and equipment to maintain a safe and operational work environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Entry into the applicant pool requires a high school diploma or equivalent; four (4) years of experience in electrical practices; a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one prior to selection; and a Journeyman Electrician Certification. Applies advanced skills in area of specialization; and adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet special needs. Equivalent to Journey and/or lead level in area of specialization. Employer will consider an advanced degree in lieu of experience.
