Job Description Summary

The Department of Political Science, Auburn University, invites applications for tenure-track Assistant Professorship beginning August 16, 2018. All subfields in American Politics and American Government will be considered, and candidates in the field of voting, elections, representation, campaigns, election reform, and/or election administration are highly desired. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to teach a variety of graduate and undergraduate courses in the American Government subfield. The candidate is expected to teach the Department's University Core Course: American Government in a Multicultural World.

Minimum Qualifications

Required qualifications include an earned doctorate in Political Science by the start date for the rank of Assistant Professor; however, ABDs will be considered for appointment at the rank of Instructor. The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally during employment; excellent communication skills are required.
