**Two Positions**

This position is responsible for performing accounting services and preparing financial statements following Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) guidelines, including related external audit and tax information, for a separately-incorporated 501(c)(3) entities, Auburn University Foundation and Auburn University Real Estate Foundation. Duties also include: preparation and analysis of budget and financial reports in support of the Board of Directors of the Foundations; preparation of journal entries between the Foundations and Auburn University; coordination with AU Office of Financial Reporting regarding year-end conversions of Foundation financial statements; maintenance and review of procedures related to transactions in the Banner financial system, as well as other financial software systems. The successful candidate will serve as an information resource on FASB and Governmental Accounting Standard Board (GASB) guidelines, and IRS rules and regulations to the Office of Development.

Minimum Qualifications
Entry into the applicant pool requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, or a degree plus a CPA; plus 2 years experience in financial statement preparation and accounting. Must have knowledge of FASB accounting guidelines for not-for-profit entities, GASB accounting guidelines, and IRS rules and regulations.
