Assistant Professor

Composition and Literature August 2010
Tenure-track, entry-level assistant professor position beginning August 2010. We seek candidates with the potential to become excellent teachers who are interested in teaching courses in Freshman Composition and Literature. Expertise in Film Studies is desirable. Willingness to use technology in the classroom is essential as we are a laptop campus. Expertise or interest in on-line delivery is desirable. Degree in English or a related field; Ph.D. preferred, ABD considered. Ph.D. is expected within a year of hiring. Scholarship is required for promotion and tenure. Department/university service and student advising are expected. Willingness to pursue grants a plus. Menomonie is nestled in the highlands of Western Wisconsin, an hour s drive from Minneapolis/ St. Paul.
