The Department of Art & Art History, jointly with the Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity (CCSRE) at Stanford University, is seeking to appoint a tenure-track Assistant Professor working on African American art history, film studies, diasporic studies or visual culture. The successful candidate is expected to teach courses in the Art & Art History Department at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, two of which will be cross-listed in the Program in Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity and African & African American Studies. The successful candidate's home department for tenure review will be the Department of Art & Art History.
