Pharmacology Instructor

The School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences is seeking full-time, benefits eligible, non-tenure track Pharmacology Instructors for a hiring pool. Instructor positions require a minimum of a master’s degree in a field related to the course subject and a record of successful teaching of undergraduate courses related to the course subject at the college or university level or equivalent post-baccalaureate experience.

Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Teach courses in relevant areas.
  • Prepare syllabus, appropriate course goals and objectives, and lesson plans.
  • Evaluate and select course materials and other teaching materials.
  • Prepare, administer, and grade assignments.
  • Administer written mid-term and/or final exams.
  • Hold regular office hours.

Qualifications 

Required Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in related field and two (2) years related experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience, and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications:  

  • Doctoral degree preferred
  • Experience in online instruction
  • Record of teaching excellence
  • Record of or a desire to teach students from diverse backgrounds, including first generation, non-traditional, low income, and underrepresented minority students
