Associate/Full Professor-Strategy Management

Position Description

The Associate Professor/Full Professor opening is a tenure-track position in the area of strategic management/organizational theory. Eligible applicants must conduct high-quality research that is published in the Department’s “A level” journals; effectively teach management courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level; serve as a research mentor to doctoral students; engage in service related activities that contribute to the department, college, university, and field; and interact effectively with colleagues to support and enhance our unique department culture.  This appointment is beginning Fall 2022.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate Professor - 1) An earned doctorate in strategic management, organization theory, or a related academic field; 2) Evidence of actively and regularly publishing in the Department’s “A level” journals, with a publication record commensurate with the rank and experience of Associate Professor; 3) Evidence of teaching excellence in one or more areas of management

Full Professor - 1) An earned doctorate in strategic management, organization theory, or a related academic field; 2) Evidence of actively and regularly publishing in the Department’s “A level” journals, with a publication record commensurate with the rank and experience of Full Professor; 3) Evidence of teaching excellence in one or more areas of management

Desired Qualifications:

Associate/Full Professor- 1) Evidence of publishing in the department’s “A level” journals with doctoral students, especially if coming from a department with a doctoral program; 2) Strong research pipeline of projects submitted to or targeting the Department's “A level” journals; 3) Evidence that the applicant’s research has had scholarly and practical impact commensurate with rank and experience; 4) Evidence of service contributions at the department, college, university, and/or field levels; 5) Evidence of engaging with others in a respectful and cooperative manner so as to support and enhance a collegial department culture
