Assistant Professor (Ladder Rank/ In-Residence) Ophthalmic Pathologist

The Department of Pathology at the University of California, San Diego (http://pathology.ucsd.edu) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body, seeks a board-certified neuropathologist with experience in ophthalmic pathology, at the Assistant Professor level.

The successful candidate will sign out and teach ophthalmic pathology and will have an independent program of research. This position will reside in the Neuropathology Division.

Candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD, PhD, or equivalent. Candidates with an MD must be board certified / board eligible by the American Board of Pathology. Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.

Candidates with significant prior clinical subspecialty work experience as well as individuals capable of contributing to other specialty sections of the Division are preferred.

Appointment will be at the Assistant Professor Rank based on candidate's experience and qualifications. Series will include 100% Ladder Rank or 50% Ladder Rank / 50% In-Residence with secured extramural funding.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales.
