Job Description:
This posting is an ongoing pool for those interested in teaching Composition (ENGL 121) offered at HCC. The department will review the applicants when a need arises.
Course Information:
ENGL-121 College Composition
Students will be guided through the expository writing process through close reading of contemporary critical discourse and will be taught the rhetorical arts of argument and persuasion through critical thinking, reading and research. Upon completion, students should be able to write persuasive, researched and documented essays of at least 1,000 words.
Requirements:
- A master's degree or higher is required for most positions
- Prior teaching experience preferred
- Experience teaching Composition or Rhetoric preferred
- Candidates must be available to teach in a face-to-face classroom environment
