Columbus State University has opening for a Student Assistant - Lifeguard position in the Student Recreation Center. This position will provide customer service to patrons using the Student Recreation Center. The selected candidate will monitor and supervise the aquatic center, enforcing policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Duties are to monitor and enforce pool rules and policies; keep facility clean and organized; know and activate facility's emergency action plan; perform lifesaving duties when needed; answer patron's questions and follow up on requests; attend all scheduled meetings and in-services; maintain a good level of physical fitness; and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
The selected candidate must be a certified Lifeguard; CPR and First Aid certified; pass a swim test; excellent oral and written communication skills; dependable; excellent customer service skills; and a hard worker.
Proposed Salary
The salary is commensurate with education and experience. This position can work up to 19 hours per week.
