Servant Leadership Coordinator

Job Summary

Columbus State University has an opening for a Servant Leadership Coordinator. This position will assist and collaborate with the Director of the Servant Leadership Center and Frank Brown Chair for Servant Leadership and the Assistant Director of the Center and will be responsible for assisting in the planning, instruction, and activities of the Center.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: providing leadership in the undergraduate Servant Leadership Program; assisting in directing and planning of Servant Leadership events for students and in the community; working with University Advancement to increase support of the Turner Center for Servant Leadership and to develop new donors; assisting in onboarding new faculty and staff to ensure the CSU Servant Leadership Model is part of the process; working with community leaders and organizations on matters that relate to Servant Leadership; serving as one of the university spokespersons on Servant Leadership and representing the Center; working with the Director and Assistant Director to enhance the curriculum for the undergraduate Servant Leadership Classes; serving as a Teaching Assistant and grading as needed (LEAD 1705, 2705, and 2715); assisting in the planning and facilitation of the LEO Retreat and the Uptown Tree Trail Fundraiser; assisting in developing the Study Abroad program for Jan Term of 2020; assisting with managing student issues that arise at various times; assisting with Reflections/Retreats and Senior meetings; assisting with facilitating of L.I.V.E. CSU sessions as needed; assisting with the completion of the Compliance assist report; working with Academic Affairs and Human Resources to ensure the university's Servant Leadership Value, "effective, ethical leadership through empowerment and service", is emphasized and modeled; working and collaborating with the Leadership Institute and The Forum; working with University Relations to promote the Turner Center for Servant Leadership; and all other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a Master's degree in Servant Leadership, Organizational Leadership with a Servant Leadership track, or an equivalent discipline; and three to five years of leadership experience in an academic setting, working with students, or in a similar environment. The successful candidate must possess a proven ability to communicate effectively in a classroom, team setting, and in a one-to-one conversation; experience in effectively creating and leading teams; the ability to relate effectively to students; the ability to relate effectively to faculty and staff; a record of an innovative and growth mindset when approaching work projects; the ability to manage projects and meet deadlines; an in-depth knowledge of the Servant Leadership model; and a proven track record of modeling Servant Leadership both professionally and personally.

Proposed Salary

The annualized salary range for this position is $32,253 - $36,284.
