DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Graduate & Professional Enrollment, the Assistant/Associate Director for Enrollment, Business and Education Programs provides comprehensive support to all phases of recruitment and enrollment of prospective students wishing to enter business and education degree programs offered at the Marin Campus of the University of Redlands. Position has primary responsibility for recruiting prospective graduate students through strategic enrollment efforts, direct counseling, communication and enrollment process support, and external/related/affinity group outreach.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Represents enrollment and works collaboratively with AVP of Graduate & Professional Enrollment, Deans of the Schools of Business and Education, and with enrollment colleagues in southern California, to ensure alignment of enrollment goals, prospective student profiles, messaging, and central (i.e., main campus) enrollment support.
  • Strategically recruits, counsels and enrolls prospective business and education students.
  • Represents the School of Business and the School of Education in strategic outreach and recruitment events for the purpose of lead generation. Such outreach may include corporate visits (e.g., benefits fairs, Lunch n Learns), and educational outreach (e.g., transfer fairs at community colleges, graduate fairs at universities), and various community events.
  • Provides timely and professional responses to all inquiries and applicants (telephone inquiries, event attendees, interactive leads, etc.) to schedule appointments, meet in-person or by telephone or skype, and enroll into appropriate programs.
  • Counsels prospective students on admission requirements, enrollment procedures, financial aid options, alignment of professional goals with academic options, etc. Monitors progress of prospective student and applicant files; requesting, collecting and distributing documents and supplemental materials as needed.
  • Handles all logistical details for on-campus recruitment events, and serves as point person in working with other offices for such events. Coordinates airport pick-up for participants of recruitment events.
  • Provides campus tours as needed.
  • Utilizes enrollment-based CRM (Slate) to communicate with and manage prospective students.
  • Assists in development of enrollment goals and projections; produces and monitors enrollment reports, participates in technology training, tracks/records daily activities, and upholds data integrity of system files.
  • May assist in the development of web-based content and collateral materials.
  • Participates remotely in meetings with the AVP for Graduate & Professional Enrollment, the Graduate & Professional Enrollment team, the AVP of Enrollment Systems, Operations and Analytics, and others as appropriate at main University campus.
  • Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned or directed.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree in relevant subject area is required. A minimum of three (3) years related work experience in a higher education environment. Master's degree and experience in higher education recruitment, graduate student recruitment, counseling, professional coaching, or career or student services, is preferred. A valid driver's license is required. A current DMV printout demonstrating a good driving record must be presented after offer of employment. Must be able to attend off campus recruitment events and meet with constituents of the School. This position includes working occasional evening and weekend hours. Successful candidate will have familiarity with higher education enrollment practices and university environments; ability to work with persons of wide range of skills, educational background and experiences;, knowledgeable of graduate student needs; high level of independent judgment; and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to master the University's information system and enrollment CRM, and to consume and manipulate data is critical for success in this role.
