Duties and Responsibilities
The selected individual will teach undergraduate and graduate teacher preparation courses, typically in pre-Kindergarten-through-grade-12 (PK-12) school settings. The candidate will work closely with teacher preparation field sites and grant partner schools should demonstrate a commitment to serving a diverse student body and profession in an urban context.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Required qualifications include:
a) an earned masters or doctorate in a field related to teacher education,
b) teaching experience in culturally and linguistically diverse PK-12 schools, and
c) a commitment to social justice and diversity.
Desirable qualifications include: the ability to work well with students and colleagues, experience with field-based teacher education, knowledge of inclusive education environments, proficiency with systematic instruction for exceptional learners, knowledge of positive behavior support, experience in early childhood special education, experience with English language learners, as well as familiarity with university-school-community partnerships.
