Duties and Responsibilities
Loyola University Chicago ( LUC ), College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Fine and Performing Arts invites qualified applicants for a one-year, non-tenure track appointment as Instructor of Fine Arts with a focus in Visual Communication. The Fine Arts program offers a Bachelors Degree serving approximately 130 undergraduate arts majors in art history, ceramics, drawing and painting, photography, and visual communication. The position entails teaching four undergraduate courses each semester in visual communication. The ability to teach animation and interactive design is essential. The position also includes service obligations, such as participating in critiques for Senior Exhibitions and attending department meetings.

Qualifications
The successful applicant will have an MFA in Visual Communication from an accredited college or university or equivalent professional experience as well as a minimum of one-year of college-level teaching experience. Candidates for the position must clearly demonstrate the potential for excellence in teaching and have a record of (or clear potential for) student mentorship. The incumbent must also be willing to support the mission of LUC and the goals of a Jesuit Catholic Education.
