IT Web Developer


Salisbury University, a member of the University System of Maryland, is a regionally accredited four-year comprehensive institution offering 60 distinct graduate and undergraduate programs. Located on the historic Eastern Shore, SU's beautiful campus is some 30 miles from the Atlantic beaches and 2.5 hours from Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of IT Web Developer.

Primary Job Duties: Maintain, enhance, and develop the University's public facing websites while ensuring web analytics are accurate and complete, search results are consistent, and website content is up-to-date and compliant with WCAG guidelines (or guidelines as currently specified by law). The incumbent uses Cascade CMS (content management system) software to manage websites and SiteImprove software for website health and compliance monitoring. The web developer will also be responsible for creating and maintaining a limited number of web applications using HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, C#, SQL, ASP.Net.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 3-5 years of related experience. Experience developing, maintaining websites and web applications using ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, SQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript is required.

Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral and written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required. Proficiency with current web/internet technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, C#, SQL, ASP.Net)

This is a full-time, exempt State position with a full benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
