The Department of Communication and Theatre at Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) invites applications for the position of Communication Lecturer beginning August 2019. This is a one-year faculty position. This is a full-time, nine month position with potential for summer teaching. The teaching load for this position is eight courses per academic year (four each semester). The Communication Lecturer will be able to teach media writing, advertising, and audio production courses and other communication courses.

Founded in 1967, AUM is the metropolitan campus of Auburn University and serves a diverse student body of around 5,000 students. The Department of Communication and Theatre offers a bachelor's degree in communication with options in journalism, public relations, communication studies, and theatre.
Successful candidates must have earned at least a Master's degree in Communication, Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in a communication field. Evidence of excellence in teaching and interpersonal communication skills is also required. Successful candidates will have a commitment to service at both the departmental and university levels.
