Operations & Employer Engagement Coordinator

The Center for Career Development (CCD) has an opening for an Operations & Employer Engagement Coordinator to join the team. The Center for Career Development at Davidson College is a highly dynamic team committed to providing leading-edge career exploration, preparation and employment programs and services. The Center strives to be a national leader in the career development and support provided to students at a liberal arts college. This growing and innovative team are dedicated to working collaboratively, with each other and the student body, in addition to partnering with campus and external stakeholders to provide best-in-class support and direction to our students.

 

The Role:

Operations – approximately 70%

  • Lead the administration and management of a busy Center and provide a wide range of critical administrative and event coordination tasks and support the overall team goals and strategy
  • Report directly to the Executive Director to provide high-level administrative assistance, and support special event planning, travel arrangements and logistics for the CCD team
  • Greet and direct visitors, respond to visitors' requests and telephone inquiries, referring questions and calls as appropriate
  • May supervise or coordinate student assistants
  • Manage departmental budget and expenses in collaboration with the Executive Director
  • Assist team with projects, working proactively and creatively on departmental priorities and projects
  • Assist with event logistics for a number of intra-campus programs and signature events in relation to career development

 

Employer Engagement – approximately 30%

  • In collaboration with Assistant Directors, manage scheduling and arrangements for on-campus recruiting events including room booking and catering; assist in liaising with employers, graduate schools, students and alumni, scheduling and coordinating on-campus recruitment
  • Manage the coordination of Handshake including posting jobs and internships, facilitate interview scheduling
  • Perform other duties and related work as assigned

  • Bachelor's degree required although substantive relevant work experience may substitute for a degree
