Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Information Security Engineer. This position is currently only open to applications from current staff/faculty at Salisbury University.

Primary Job Duties: Monitor, analyze and determine preventive measures to maintain the daily business operations of the campus data network and systems. Assist in the planning, engineering, implementation, and coordination of a wide variety of information security activities and projects. Control, evaluate and execute of corrective actions to maximize system/network performance and availability that supports academic, administrative and student resident requirements.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of related experience. Related experience in engineering, configuring, and maintaining information security equipment and solutions is required.

Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral and written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required. Understanding of general network and information security principles, design models, and best practices is required.

This is a full-time, exempt State position with a full benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
