JOB SUMMARY:

Applications are invited for a one year Visiting Assistant Professor of Accounting, starting in August 2019. Adelphi University's business programs are accredited by AACSB-International. The successful candidate must be "Scholarly Academic" at the time of applying and maintain that status during the period of their employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting including financial accounting and auditing.
2. Teaching assignments can occur at any of the University's sites, including Garden City, Manhattan, off-campus locations, in the evenings, and on Saturdays.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. PhD/DBA in Accounting or PhD/DBA in Business with at least 18 graduate hours of coursework in Accounting required.
2. Active CPA license highly desired.
3. Prior experience in a CPA professional firm highly desired.
