Graduate Enrollment Management Specialist


Salisbury University, a member of the University System of Maryland, is a regionally accredited four-year comprehensive institution offering 60 distinct graduate and undergraduate programs. Located on the historic Eastern Shore, SU's beautiful campus is some 30 miles from the Atlantic beaches and 2.5 hours from Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Graduate Enrollment Management Specialist.

Primary Job Duties: Perform duties ranging from graduate program marketing/recruiting to admissions through degree completion. Specifically, help lead efforts to establish and maintain effective marketing and recruitment strategies and build relationships that lead to long-term graduate application growth in coordination with Graduate Program Directors; work with other SU professionals and external consultants to create and maintain effective graduate marketing strategies, including digital marketing and use of social media targeted strategies; Attend regional graduate fairs and/or conferences and establish/maintain contacts and presence with large regional corporate/government employers.

Effectively manage graduate applications processing by counseling applicants on admission policies and procedures as well as offering solutions to applicant problems and requests regarding admission, coordinate application completion activities with students and individual departments, communicate in person, by telephone and in writing with domestic and international students about status of admission applications. Remain current on a wide range of university policies and global educational trends affecting graduate students, admissions and special programs. Serve as a member of the Office of Graduate Studies and Research team and participate as a team member in office and in community wide events.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Demonstrated understanding of university student recruiting and admissions process as well as the ability to manage graduate application processing through counseling on admission policies and procedures.

Must be detail-oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral and written communication skills. Also must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, independently, and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.

This is a full-time, exempt, State position with a full benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
