Fair Practices Investigation Coordinator - EXTENDED


Salisbury University, a member of the University System of Maryland, is a regionally accredited four-year comprehensive institution offering 60 distinct graduate and undergraduate programs. Located on the historic Eastern Shore, SU's beautiful campus is some 30 miles from the Atlantic beaches and 2.5 hours from Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Fair Practices Investigation Coordinator.

Primary Job Duties: Plan, organize, and coordinate the delivery of fair practices programs and initiatives across campus to conceptualize, define, cultivate and assess fair practices, equity and inclusion. The position provides support to the fair practices office, including but not limited to conducting investigations (EEO, employment discrimination, Civil Rights, Title IX); serves as a point-of-contact for students, faculty and staff across campus dealing with issues of fair practices; supports the office staff and others to implement the fair practices goals of the strategic plan; and provide training to encourage faculty, staff and students to comply with legal and policy anti-discrimination requirements.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Conflict Analysis and Dispute Resolution, Law, Law Enforcement, or Criminal Justice and 3-5 years of relevant experience. Master's degree and 1-3 years of experience will also be considered as an equivalency.

Must be detail-oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral and written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, independently, and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.

Preferred Qualifications: EEO or Civil Rights Investigation experience preferred.

This is a full-time, exempt, State position with a full benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
