For Academic Year 2019-20, Latin American Studies at UC San Diego has occasional openings for temporary non-tenure track lecturers Unit 18 throughout the academic year.

Courses in which lecturers are typically needed may include undergraduate lower and upper division lecture courses. The full list of courses offered by Latin American Studies can be found in the online course catalog.

Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to the course(s) to which they are applying. Applicants with teaching experience are preferred experience can be as a teaching assistant.

The committee will review applicants who are ABD but applicants must have completed their Ph.D. by the time they are appointed.

Appointments may be full or part time, for 1, 2, or 3 quarters in duration. In the application, specify the courses or academic area(s) for which you are qualified to teach.
