Temporary Lecturer - Global Health Program

The Global Health Program (GHP) at UC San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. GHP invites applicants for an opportunity for temporary, non-tenure track, lecturer (Unit 18) positions to teach GHP courses for the upcoming academic year.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. with training in medical anthropology, public health, global health, epidemiology, or a medical social science. Candidates must have experience in or potential for outstanding teaching in global health related topics; and must demonstrate strong or potential contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the context of a large public university.

Appointees will be expected to teach large, introductory courses in their sub disciplines, and a combination of upper and lower division courses, including courses on their own research interests. Appointments will be part-time or full-time, up to a total of two courses per quarter, from one quarter up to one year in duration, with the possibility of extension to a subsequent year. Courses may be at the graduate or undergraduate level and are in the area of global health related topics.
