Admissions Recruiter/Counselor, Adult and Online Education

Reports To: Assistant Vice President, Adult and Online Education
Position Type: Full-time, 12 months
Standard Hours: 40 hours / week
FLSA Status: Exempt
Classification: Professional Staff

Summary:
Perform a wide variety of duties relating to enrollment of adult and online learners. Responsible for regional travel, territory management and delivers a student-friendly admissions process. The ideal individual is an outgoing and creative recruiter who is proactive, data and goal driven, and loves helping individuals realize and reach their goals. Possible regions may include Syracuse, Rochester, Finger Lakes, North Country, Central New York, or Southern Tier. The position will be a remote position with regular travel to main campus in Keuka Park, New York for meetings and events. High level of written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work as a team from a distance is essential to succeed in this position.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Continually meet and plan to exceed enrollment targets.
• Communicate information about Keuka College's adult and online programs and other admissions related materials and processes.
• Conduct webinars, information sessions, student interviews, and other activities necessary to supporting enrollment-for prospective students.
• Manage communications process for inquiries and applicants.
• Input student information and maintain student files in our CRM (Slate/Recruiter/Colleague).
• Utilize CRM (Slate/Recruiter/Colleague) to document all activity, interactions, and statistical records of prospective students and applicants.
• Participate in college fairs, transfer fairs, conferences, and meetings as required.
• Build and maintain relationships with community colleges, academic advisors, and other influencers.
• Assist with the development of partnerships and articulation agreements with organizations and selected community colleges. Make regularly scheduled recruitment visits to organizations and community colleges to meet with prospective students and influencers.
• Understand details of academic programs including curriculum, philosophy, structure, costs, financing opportunities. Tell a compelling story about the value proposition for each program. Stay current on program evolution and new program development.
• Responsible for ensuring that assigned tasks are completed in compliance with various institutional and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times towards co-workers, internal and external customers, representing Keuka College, its programs, policies and procedures in a positive and professional manner. Maintain effective working relationships to ensure institution-wide teamwork.
• Attend provided/necessary trainings and other meetings to support effectiveness within the position as required.
• Consistently demonstrate high standards of integrity by supporting the Keuka College mission, vision and values and adhering to institutional policies.
• Maintain high regard for student privacy in accordance with the FERPA privacy policies and procedures.
• Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.
• Perform other functions as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree required.
2. Ability to utilize technology for effective work processes (Google Hangouts, Zoom, Skype, etc.)
3. Must have reliable internet.
4. Ability to act independently and autonomously as an agent of and positive reflection of Keuka College.
5. Working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures of college admissions, and ability to use in varied situations is required.
6. This position requires extensive automobile travel throughout the assigned territory; therefore, a valid driver's license, and successful DMV check is required.
7. Computer experience required. Demonstrate proficiency in the following - Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
8. Excellent planning, organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to pay attention to detail required.
9. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
10. Understand and behave with a high level of integrity and complete confidentiality at all times.
11. Ability to be sensitive to and respond to needs/concerns of students, faculty, college staff and the public.
12. Ability to work under pressure with a high tolerance for interruptions, and the ability to work with diverse groups of people.
13. Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Preferred:
1. Experience in college admissions, sales, marketing, or other recruitment.
2. Experience working with a CRM. Experience with Ellucian's Colleague, Recruiter, and Technolution's Slate is highly desirable.
3. Experience working with adult and online learners is preferred.
4. Experience working as a remote employee.

Physical Requirements:
• Some performance of job duties will require travel to off-campus locations, campus meetings, and events.
• Hold evening and weekend availability as necessary or required.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
