Temporary Lecturer - 2019/2020 - LINGUISTICS

The Department of Linguistics within the Division of Social Sciences at UC San Diego is committed to building an excellent and diverse faculty, staff, and student body, and invites applications from candidates whose experience has prepared them to contribute to our commitment. The Department is currently accepting applications for temporary non-tenure track lecturers (Unit 18) to teach for the 2019 - 2020 academic year. Courses may include upper- and lower-division courses in the areas of General Linguistics, Cognition and Language, Language and Society, Language Studies, and Speech and Language Sciences.

Candidates must have at minimum a Master's degree or equivalent in Linguistics or related field, outstanding teaching qualifications, and a demonstrated commitment to diversity. The appointment may vary from part time to full time, up to a total of two courses per quarter, from one quarter up to one year in duration, with the possibility of extension in accordance with Department needs. Positions available beginning the 2019 - 2020 academic year.

Salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
