  • At least one cumulative year of experience linking research and practice in schools and youth-serving organizations; knowledge of current K-12 practices and policies; knowledge of multicultural education for social justice and transformative frameworks in education; collaborative work linking a university and its local education community; experience working in racially and socially diverse educational settings, experience working with racially and socially diverse students and families; and the potential for scholarly work and publications in teacher education.

Desired qualifications include: experience working with undergraduates in service learning programs or other student services programs; experience in higher education teaching, familiarity with existing networks of educators and organizations in the San Diego region, teaching experience in K-12 schools; background in multicultural teacher education; non-profit experience or working in informal educational settings; and grant writing experience.

Salary: The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary will be based on University of California pay scales.
