Department description

The Ithaca College Politics Department has twelve full-time faculty, and covers most aspects of the political science curriculum, but emphasizes qualitative, historical, and theoretical, approaches to the study of politics, rather than quantitative. The department has a strong international focus.

The Legal Studies Program has recently moved from the Ithaca College Business School to the School of Humanities and Sciences, under the auspices of the Politics Department, and is currently undergoing curricular review. The Legal Studies major and minor are interdisciplinary, with course requirements drawn from departments across the college. The new hire will have significant opportunities to help grow the program and shape its future direction.
