Position Title: Manager, Marist Executive Center - New York City

Department: Marist Executive Center - New York City/Office of the Executive Vice President

Job Summary: The Manager of the Marist Executive Center will oversee the day-to-day business and administrative functions to ensure efficient operations. In collaboration with the Director, the Manager will deliver administrative, operational and technical services across the Executive Center.

The Manager will consult with clients to plan and implement Executive Center events, programs, and classes that meet the strategic goals of Marist College. Responsibilities include conceptualization of themes, presenting innovative ideas, conducting research requests, assessing feasibility, and making recommendations to ensure the implementation of successful events and programs.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.

Essential Functions:
  • Manage office and business operations and activities for the Marist NYC Executive Center. Respond to a wide variety of inquiries displaying a comprehensive knowledge of the center's activities, policies and programs and the EVP and Director's priorities.
  • Oversee and maintain facilities issues and technology needs by working with both internal and external constituents. Assist the Director to monitor and develop the office's operating budget, review invoices against expenditures, investigate and resolve as appropriate.
  • Consult with client departments to plan, implement and manage center events for Marist College, ensuring clients' needs are met and the college's NYC brand is emphasized for constituent audiences.
  • Develop portfolio to showcase creativity, presenting clients with a variety of catering, equipment, decorative and pricing ideas and options; make recommendations to ensure targeted events appealing to constituent departments are within budget.
  • Research and assess feasibility of special requests, and advise clients accordingly. Conduct post-event evaluations for Director and EVP, recommending future improvements. Attend events to ensure high-quality implementation.
  • Act as liaison with other college departments, facilitating communications on behalf of the Director and the Executive Vice President. Troubleshoot issues with internal clients, external constituents, and building staff.
