Job Description:

 

Under the general direction of the Web Enterprise Services Manager, the Web Designer will be responsible for content creation, design, programming, migration, and maintenance of the web enterprise. Oversee the development of websites and pages utilizing responsive web design and such technologies as HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, etc. both in the context of the CMS, as well as, standalone environments. Develop and maintain new user-facing features. Assist Web Enterprise Service Manager with special web projects and initiatives to ensure their timely and accurate completion. Provide individualized technical support to customers. Process help desk calls, compiles web data, and generate regular reports for management.

WORK PERFORMED

  • Assists with Web Services special projects; including the creation and design of web content, migration of content and data, and the maintenance of current content
  • Utilizes special features of the content management system (templates, includes, styles, and dynamic content elements) to develop web content
  • Assist with the importation of course-related information from Colleague into SiteExecutive.
  • Provide training and assistance to content contributors
  • Monitor Help Desk calls for Web Services group and responds to Level 2 Help Desk calls to resolve requests within established standards
  • Maintain the timely coordination of events (calendars) and announcements throughout the web enterprise (WWW, Intranet, and other sites as needed)
  • Develop web-based forms for dynamic online submission

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in information systems, computer science, or closely related field required.
Three years of professional web development experience that must include HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Ability to create mock-ups for new web designs, process images for the web, and provide design feedback on current sites and proposed college websites.
Solid working knowledge of standards-compliant HTML & CSS, JavaScript (including jQuery), and responsive Web Design (RWD) techniques and methods
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator), Microsoft Office
Knowledge of web content management systems (e.g., SiteExecutive, WordPress)
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
Familiarity with higher education best practices, a plus

 

Additional Information:

 

Hours Per Week: 37.5
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 5pm
Compensation: $$50,820 plus excellent health insurance, paid leave and tuition reimbursement
Grade: 12
FLSA Status: Exempt
