Job Purpose
Teach courses, and fulfill service mission for the College of Fine Arts, School of Art, Craft, & Design.

Essential Functions
Teach studio courses each semester that may include all levels from beginning through advanced levels in the BFA design (digital media) curriculum, which currently focuses on Graphic Design/Communication Design application. Facilitate experiential student learning beyond the classroom, e.g. supervising senior design projects, internships, etc. Provide management and oversight of the School of Art, Craft & Design's digital studio(s). Collaborate and contribute to curriculum development for the BFA design (digital media) concentration, and participate in course and program assessment. Contribute to a rigorous learning environment with willingness to use traditional, alternative, and digital delivery methods. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
MFA or equivalent terminal degree in Design or related field. At least one year teaching experience, either full or part time. Track record of professional experience in digital arts, graphic design or related field as expressed in client history, publication record, exhibition practice, studio practice, or a combination thereof. Mastery of appropriate industry standard art and design software. Proficiency in teaching industry-standard art and design software.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in multiple digital platforms such as 3-D modeling, virtual reality, etc. Demonstrated studio skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Commensurate with education and experience. This is a one year temporary non-tenure-track appointment to begin August 2019.
