Clinical Professor (Open Rank)

The Morrison School of Agribusiness in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University invites applications for a full-time position at the open rank of Clinical Professor starting Fall 2019 to teach courses in food and agribusiness as well as business administration courses serviced by the Morrison School.  The position is full-time with no tenure implications.  Renewal is contingent upon availability of funds, satisfactory performance, and the needs of the university.  Salary is competitive and dependent upon qualifications, experience, and rank.

Essential Functions:  The candidate must contribute to the Morrison School of Agribusiness’ mission primarily in the areas of teaching, service, curriculum development, and student engagement.  The candidate must be able to deliver excellent instruction, both in an in person and online environment, and to contribute to course and curriculum development. 

Required Qualifications:

Clinical Assistant Professor – 1) A Ph.D. from an accredited institution in business administration, agricultural economics, agribusiness, economics or related field, and 2) Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence.

Clinical Associate Professor - 1) A Ph.D. from an accredited institution in business administration, agricultural economics, agribusiness, economics or related field, 2) The equivalent of 5 years full-time teaching at a 4-year institution, 3) Demonstrated teaching excellence as evidenced by teaching evaluations, course innovation, organization, and communication skills, 4) A record of scholarship as evidenced by professional/academic experience, an active learning agenda, and papers, articles, tutorials, case studies, or manuals. 

Clinical Full Professor – 1) A Ph.D. from an accredited institution in business administration, agricultural economics, agribusiness, economics or related field, 2) Sustained long-term excellence in teaching as evidenced by teaching evaluations, course innovation, organization, and communication skills, 3) The equivalent of 12 years of full-time teaching at a 4-year institution, 4) Demonstrated leadership record of scholarship as evidenced by professional/academic experience, an active learning agenda, and papers, articles, tutorials, case studies, or manuals. 

Desired Qualifications:

1) Ability to teach in various sub-areas of business administration important to the Morrison School of Agribusiness such as (but not limited to) operations management, risk management, and agricultural and applied economics.
2) Industry experience and/or significant service or professional contributions to food and agribusiness field.
3) Experience with training and industry partnerships
4) Teaching experience in a variety of platforms including face-to-face (onsite), online, and executive or extension formats.
