Job Purpose
Serves as the primary receptionist for the Student Affairs Administrative Office and backup for the Administrative Associate 4, as well as provides backup to the Eagle Card Supervisor during SOAR weeks and other times if/when needed.
Essential Functions
Serves as the primary receptionist for the Student Affairs Administrative Office. Receives and directs incoming calls and emails, sorts and distributes mail, and receives and assists visitors. Provides direction to students regarding student absent notifications. Types, files, sends and receives faxes, and performs clerical duties as assigned by Executive Director of Student Affairs. Enters correspondence, reports, and other information to the Banner Document Management (BDM) system. Proofreads large projects and documents for accuracy. Serves as backup to the Administrative Associate 4 in Student Affairs, as well as backup to the Eagle Card Supervisor during SOAR and other times if/when needed. Other projects/duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent. One year of clerical/secretarial and customer service experience. Experience using various office software, such as Microsoft Office. Experience with data management software. Experience with high volume traffic.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Office specifically for Mac systems. Experience with Banner and Banner Document Management (BDM) System. Experience in a college/university setting.
Work Hours
Typical hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00am- 4:30pm (1 hour for lunch).
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Commensurate with education and experience. Clerical & Support Pay Grade 3.
